PRODUCTION UNITS

The Malegno plant is the oldest among the three Riva Acciaio plants in the Camonica valley, an area with a long steel tradition where blacksmithing has been practised since prehistoric times and that was a true “industrial steel district” for a century. The plant was built in the 1930s under the name of Società Elettrosiderurgica di Valle Camonica (SELVA); in the 1960s. Riva Acciaio first became a minority shareholder and then took charge of operations. The Group finally took full control over the Malegno plant in the 1990s. Read more
